Guess who is asking for your taxpayer dollars in New York to be forced to be spent on embryonic stem cell research? That's right, it's Dr. Shirley Ann Jackson!

In a letter to the Statehouse, Dr. Jackson among other dignified Presidents of New York State colleges called upon the State of New York to spend excessive money on research in embryonic stem cells among other stem cell research. Why? To be more advanced like California, silly. This is, of course, a load of garbage.

Stem cell research, adult stem cells, is currently being performed at RPI. It is some very promising research and more interesting stuff comes out yearly. It's also never been proven explicitly that embryonic stem cells are useful except to be a wedge issue that offends probably half the population. It's like partial-birth abortions, there to only divide the people. Why does she want to do embryonic stem cell research at RPI? Does Dr. Jackson want protesters coming from both within and from outside of campus? Does she just want to waste New York State taxpayer money? Does she just want to see it 100% legal so that abortions increase so that people can get the tax right off of creating stem cells?

Or is Dr. Jackson just stupid and not realizing that we all have to pay for her little venture. Wait a second, she doesn't have to! All of RPI, which includes many for profit subsectors, is tax free...
